There are reports of such entities charging a service/legal fee for issuing ‘debt waiver certificates’ without any authority. Members of the public are cautioned not to fall prey to such false and misleading campaigns and report such incidents to law enforcement agencies.
IBBI Issues New Guidelines for Insolvency Professionals
On December 8, 2023, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) took a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency of the insolvency resolution process by issuing the “Insolvency Professionals to act as Interim Resolution Professionals, Liquidators, Resolution Professionals and Bankruptcy Trustees (Recommendation) (Second) Guidelines, 2023.” These guidelines aim to expedite the appointment of Insolvency Professionals (IPs) by preparing a panel in advance, mitigating administrative delays.
NSE clarification regarding actions in case of failure to settle a deal on Request for Quote (RFQ) platform
Participants are requested to note that, there shall be no penal action effected for Individual Investors till December 31, 2023, in case of failure to settle a deal post execution of trade on the RFQ Platform.
IRDAI instructions for Insurance claims relating to Cyclone Michaung
All Insurance Companies are advised to mobilize all resources to ensure immediate service response to Insurance claims relating to Cyclone Michaung including outsourced functions such as Surveyors, Loss Adjustors and Investigators. All Insurers (including Life and Standalone Health Insurers) are advised to submit information related to the Cyclone/flood claims to the IRDAI in the format attached on a weekly basis at nl-catastrophe@irdai.gov.in by General and Health Insurers and at life@irdai.gov.in by Life Insurers, for a month.
