Central government extends income tax exemption to Stitching Pension funds ABP
The central government has extended the exemption to income tax under section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 available to non profit organizations to the pension fund, namely, the Stitching Pension funds ABP.

Change in Interest rates under Provident Fund Scheme in West Bengal
Accumulated credit of the Subscribers who have subscribed for the General Provident Fund and other similar funds maintained under the administrative control of the Government from the period of 1st October, 2023 to 31st December, 2023, shall carry a rate of 7.1% per annum. Subscribers to these provident fund include Government employees of the Government of West Bengal and have to compulsorily avail for the provident fund facilities after a year of completion of their service.

FSSAI publishes list of Notified Laboratories for Testing of Fortificants
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has published a list of notified laboratories for testing of fortificants in fortified rice products such as Fortified Rice (FR), Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and premix for Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK). These laboratories will be testing fortificants comprising of iron, vitamin B12 and vitamin B9.
Revised Schedule for Online Counseling for Round-4 & Stray Vacancy Round of BDS & B.Sc. Nursing
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued the revised Schedule for Online Counseling for Round-4 & Stray Vacancy Round of BDS & B.Sc. Nursing. This notice was issued on 14th October, 2023. Furthermore, the last date for admission to BDS and B.Sc. Nursing Courses has been fixed as 31st October, 2023 for the academic year 2023.
NMC issues notice on Online Application for Eligibility Certificates
Interested candidates can submit their online applications from 16th October, 2023 from 9am onwards. The last date for submission of these applications is 25th October, 2023 at 6pm. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be summarily rejected.
