Advisory for Hospitals in Delhi

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued an Advisory for hospitals in Delhi in light of the G20 Summit. This advisory was issued on 2nd September, 2023.

The advisory states that it is essential that all hospitals in the capital region remain fully prepared to cater to any medical needs for the G20 delegates and general public.

Hence, all hospitals in Delhi shall be on high alert from 7th September, 2023 to 11th September, 2023.

The hospitals are instructed to observed the following:

  1. Emergency Preparedness: Hospitals shall review and update emergency response plans, conduct drills and training exercises to ensure that the staff members are proficient in their roles.
  2. Resource Assessment: Evaluate the availability of essential medical supplies, including medications, medical equipment and PPE and maintain adequate stock to meet potential increased demand.
  3. Staffing: Assess need for additional staff, including medical professionals, security and administrative support to manage potential surges in patient volume.
