The Department of Fisheries Puducherry on 9th August, 2023 has provided financial grant to cover reactivation charges to the Steel/Wooden/FRP Mechanized and FRP Mechanized boat operators (Gill netters) for Pondicherry region during ban on Fishing for the year 2023-24.
The grant shall be provided for reactivation of 107 recognized boats.
