The Government of Kerala vide press release dated 08 August 2023 has issued initiatives for encouraging better waste management. 1771 programmes has been implemented for proper waste management across the state through local self governments for waste management including human waste management.
The press release further mandates for timely meetings of waste management monitoring committees under MLAs and for ensuring proper waste management in immigrant labor camps.
