CBDT clarification regarding taxability of income earned by a non-resident investor from off-shore investments in investment fund routed through an Alternative Investment Fund
The income tax exemption under section 115UB shall apply only to income earned by a non-resident investor from off-shore investments in investment fund routed through Category I or Category II AlFs regulated by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCÅ).
DGFT clarification regarding condonation of delay in submission of installation certificate under EPCG Scheme
Under the EPCG Scheme, the authorization holders are required to submit the installation certificate confirming installation of the capital goods to the RA within the prescribed time period. It has been decided that in relaxation of the procedure, the RAs concerned may accept such installation certificates up to 31 .12.2023 for regularization purpose on payment of late fee of Rs. 10,000/- per authorization

Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2023
The amendment primarily focuses on Schedule III of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. Vegetable Oils Grading and Marking (Amendment) Rules, 2023

Bihar Biofuels Production Promotion Policy, 2023
The policy defines the eligibility criteria for different types of units and feedstocks. Standalone distilleries producing 100% fuel-grade Ethanol and CBG/bio- CNG manufacturing units are eligible for incentives under this policy. The production of Ethanol and CBG/bio-CNG from approved feedstocks mentioned in the National Policy on Biofuels, 2018, and subsequent permissions granted by the National Biofuel Coordination Committee are allowed in Bihar.
