Solar Park Scheme Timeline Extended till FY2025-26

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the timeline of the Solar Park Scheme until the fiscal year 2025-26, specifically until 31st March, 2026. This extension comes without any additional financial implications, ensuring continuity and support for the solar energy sector in India.

Waiver of Inter-State Transmission Charges on transmission of electricity generated from Solar and Wind Energy

According to the present Order, renewable energy projects falling under para 3.1 (i), (ii), and (iii) of the Order dated 23th November, 2021 and in accordance with the Order dated 30th November, 2021 are eligible for the waiver of inter-state transmission charges. These projects, with their scheduled date of commissioning on or before 30th June, 2025, can now benefit from an extension of time granted by the MNRE.

Revised Master Direction for Housing Finance Companies

Updated Master Direction – Non-Banking Financial Company – Housing Finance Company (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2021 enabling the Bank to regulate the financial system to the advantage of the country and to prevent the affairs of any Housing Finance Company (HFC) from being conducted in a manner detrimental to the interest of investors and depositors or in any manner prejudicial to the interest of such HFCs

Income-tax (Tenth Amendment) Rules, 2023

As per the amendment, The the new tax regime can be opted for by filing form No. 10-IEA as per section 115BAC for any assessment year beginning on or after April 1, 2024. The withdrawal of option shall also be done using Form No. 10-IEA. Form No. 10-IEA shall be furnished electronically either under a digital signature or electronic verification code.
