The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) on May 30, 2023, issued a notification on the initiation of recovery of any amount due from any person to any employer who is in arrears under Employees’ Provident Funds Act, 1952.
It is clarified that no order directing the assesse to deposit the amount shall be enforced within the appeal period since it creates as embargo on the rights of the assessee to avail of the remedies permissible under the EPF and MP Act, 1952.
