The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide notification dated 27 April, 2023 issued direction under Section 16(5) of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 regarding operationalization of MRL of Pesticides used in Tea. Based on representation received, FSSAI has issued revised Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for following pesticides widely used for crop protection in Tea plantations:
- Emamectin Benzoate
- Fenpyroximate
- Hexaconazole
- Propiconazole
- Quinalphos
