The circular advises manufacturers/ importers to apply for grant of manufacturing/ import licences through the online system for medical devices. This application should be accompanied by requisite documents and fees as per Medical Device Rules, 2017 (MDR, 2017).

Unified Portal of the Central Bureau of Narcotics
The Central Bureau of Narcotics launched the unified portal as one step solution for user industry to facilitate the licensing and ExIM authorizations issued by the Bureau. The unified portal will instill the efficiency, transparency and accountability in department users with twin objective to cater the need of pharma and chemical industry and boosting economy. It will also ensure availability of the “essential narcotic drugs” and medicines to the patients & their attendant families.
