Stock Brokers directed to Report Cyber Incidents

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has published a circular on Quarterly Cyber Incident reporting of Cyber Security & Cyber Resilience framework for Stock Brokers. This circular was issued on 3rd April, 2023.

Members are required to report Cyber Incident(s) for the quarter ending March 31, 2023 through member portal. This reporting shall be done on or before 15th April 15, 2023.

The circular also provides the the guideline for submitting the Quarterly Cyber Incident Report. Further, in case of any non-submission/delayed submission, disciplinary action will be initiated.

It may be recalled that SEBI had modified the cyber security and cyber resilience framework for stock brokers/depository participants on 22nd June, 2023.

Pertinently, SEBI had previously also issued Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience framework for Portfolio Managers.
