The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has notified the National Green Tribunal (Practices and Procedure) Amendment Rules, 2023.
These amendment rules were notified on 17th March, 2023 and shall come into force from 24th March, 2023.
The amendment rules provide that the Chairperson of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) can no longer constitute a Single Member Bench even in exceptional circumstances.
