IRDAI amends Master Guidelines on AML/CFT
The Master Circular now defines “Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)” and assigns them the meaning as per the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005. Further, the present Circular directs the insurers to take note of the amendments notified to PML Rules and take necessary steps to implement the same.

Telecom Standards Advisory Committee (TSAC) in its meeting held on 16th March, 2023 decided to initiate the process of adoption of TSDSI transposed standards corresponding to the new and updated specifications of 3GPP Release 15, 16 and 17 as National Standard.
DoT notifies Constitution of Bharat 6G Mission and Apex Council
The notice states that an Apex Council has been constituted, comprising of 22 members. Under this scheme, financial assistance in the form of Interest Subsidy is provided to private investors for the establishment of Super Specialty Hospitals/ Day Care Centers of the systems recognized under The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) Act, 2020 or The National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) Act, 2020 in FY 2021-22.
PMFME scheme to support setting up of 2 lakh micro food processing enterprises through credit linked subsidy
Under component schemes of PMKSY, MoFPI provides mostly credit linked financial assistance (capital subsidy) in the form of grants-in-aid to entrepreneurs for setting up of food processing industries. The projects completed under component schemes of PMKSY are estimated to benefit about 30.67 lakh famers.

Advisory for the taxpayer wishing to register as “One Person Company” in GST
It is advised that in the ‘Part B’ of GST Registration Form ‘REG-01’, applicant may select (Constitution of Business under ‘Business Details’ tab using dropdown list) option “Others”, if the taxpayer wants to register for GST as “One Person Company”. After selecting option as “Others”, the applicant shall also mention “One Person Company” in the text field and follow the steps for a normal registration application to complete the process.
NCLT clarifies that just because a creditor enjoys security interest, it cannot be treated higher than other creditors who have financed the Corporate Debtor
