Govt. of Gujarat declares Employment of Labourers in the Fertilizer Industry as ‘Public Service’
The government has confirmed that the employment of labourers in the fertilizer industry in Gujarat is public service for the purposes of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and the Labour Laws (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 2015. Hence for the period one year from this notification, i.e. till 15th March, 2024, employment of services of such labourers/ employees will be regarded as public utility service.
Govt. of Uttar Pradesh revises DA for Certain Categories of Employees
The calculation of the variable dearness allowance for all category of workers employed in engineering factories that are employing 50 or more workers is based on the All India Consumer Price Index. The notification provides the calculation for the variable DA based on the abovestated All India Consumer Price Index.
Rajasthan SPCB issues guidelines on Utilisation of Stone Slurry
The SPCB observes that during cutting and polishing of stone lumps to produce tiles, slurry is generated which is either to be used for gainful purposes or disposed at earmarked sites. The SPCB has explored gainful and productive means of utilisation of stone slurry. These include the use of marble slurry in cement, brick or tile manufacturing, etc.
BSE notifies Additional affirmations by Practicing Company Secretaries in Annual Secretarial Compliance Report
Based on various discussions with SEBI, it has now prescribed for additional affirmations to be provided while submitting the ASCR. Further, Additional columns have been inserted in the format of ASCR. This notification will be effective from the financial year ending on March 31, 2023, onwards.
AICTE clarifies on Closure of NEEM Scheme
The AICTE has clarified that no fresh admission will be carried out after the closure of the scheme, i.e. w.e.f. 23rd December, 2022. However student enrolled on NEEM prior to 4th January, 2023 will continue to receive training and certification under the scheme till the completion of their training period.
RERA fast track dispute resolution mechanism
It is clarified that RERA also has an inbuilt fast track dispute resolution mechanism to redress the grievances of the consumers wherein the complaints are to be disposed within the prescribed timeframe by the Adjudication Officer, Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Real Estate Appellate Tribunal.
Schemes for implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U)
The Primary Lending Institutes (PLIs) were supposed to upload all eligible claims for interest subsidy loan for housing by 31.03.2022. Following request received from Central Nodal Agency, the deadline for uploading the claims on the CNA portal was extended till 30.06.2022 so that no eligible beneficiary is denied interest subsidy.
