The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has published the status of enforcement date of 95 Quality Control Orders (QCOs) in respect of various departments.
Pertinently, it may be recalled that the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has made Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) standards mandatory for major chemicals. The BIS has issued information on upcoming QCOs that are due for implementation. This advance information is intended to create better awareness.
It light of this objective, BIS has given notice of 95 QCOs. The present notification provides the status of enforcement of these 95 QCOs in an tabular form.
The implementation dates for these QCOs range from 12th March 2023 to 1st January, 2024.
