University Grants Commission vide circular dated 6th March, 2023 has clarified the Eligibility criteria for promotion under CAS in terms of guiding Ph.D. Scholars. It is clarified that the Eligible permanent faculty members can guide Ph.D. scholars during their probation period also.
All the Universities are requested to comply with the decision of the Commission.
