NMC extends timeline for Applications for Renewal of Permissions for Academic Year 2023-2024
NMC received requests from medical colleges who were not able to apply for the renewal due to the early closure of the NMC online portal. NMC has considered these requests and is now permitting medical colleges to apply with application fees and along with sworn affidavits. The last date for submission of these applications is 17th March, 2023.
Renewable Generation Obligation as per Revised Tariff Policy, 2016
All generating companies establishing a coal/lignite-based thermal generating station and having the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the project on or before 1st April 2023 shall be required to establish renewable energy generating capacity (in MW) i.e. Renewable Generation Obligation (RGO). This RGO shall be of a minimum of 40% of the capacity (in MW) of a coal/lignite-based thermal generating station.
ESIC increases Minimum Floor Price for Minimum Wages Based Manpower Outsourcing Services
The minimum service charges in the procurement of Manpower Outsourcing Service may be fixed as 3.85% as proposed by GeM. The procuring entities can also fix the service charge above 3.85% with proper justification. However, such charges should not exceed 7%.
FSSAI to hold drives on Quality Check of Nutraceuticals and Health Supplements
FSSAI has observed that nutraceuticals and health supplement products sold in the market are not compliant with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulation, 2022. Hence, in view of dealing with these non-compliance, special enforcement drives will be conducted to check quality and safety of these products.
Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Amendment Rules, 2023
The amendment provides that every Banking Company or Financial Institution or intermediary, as the case may be, shall register the details of a client, in case of client being a non-profit organization, on the DARPAN Portal of NITI Aayog, if not already registered, and maintain such registration records for a period of five years after the business relationship between a client and a reporting entity has ended or the account has been closed, whichever is later.

Operational Guidance on Securities and Exchange Board of India (Buy-Back of Securities) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023
The amendment regulations shall be made effective for all buy-back offers where the Board of Directors of the company approve resolution with respect to Buy-back on or after 30thday of the date of notification of this amendment in the official gazette (i.e. March 09, 2023).
Framework for Adoption of Cloud Services by SEBI Regulated Entities
REs which are currently availing cloud services (as on date of issuance of this framework) shall ensure that, wherever applicable, all such arrangements are revised and they (RE) shall be in compliance with this framework not later than 12 (twelve) months from the date of issuance of the framework.
