The Medical Stores Depot of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has issued an Office Memorandum to assess local manufacturing capacity and identify potential suppliers of medicines. This office memorandum was issued on 17th February, 2023.
The Medical Stores Depot, CGHS procures medicines on a case-to-case basis. These medicines are provided to CHGS beneficiaries on the basis of a valid prescription.
The Addl. Director, Medical Stores Depot, CGHS is now requesting manufacturers / importers to provide information on the specified list of medicines. The memorandum lists 86 medicines on which information is requested.
The intent behind seeking this information is to access the local manufacturing capacity and identify local potential suppliers.
