Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has issued draft Quality Control Orders (QCO) in respect of Linoleum and Rubber based products industry. This notification was issued on 13th February, 2023.
DPIIT is currently formulating Quality Control Orders/ Technical Regulations for different products in pursuance of the Prime Minister’s call for “Zero- Defect- Zero Effect” manufacturing.
Therefore, QCOs for the following category of products have been notified:
- Rubber and Thermoplastic Hoses
- Cycle and Rickshaw Tyres and Tubes
- Rubber Gaskets for Pressure Cookers
- VBelts
All the industries, Apex Industry/ Associations (CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM), Sectoral Industry/Associations, Regional Industry/Associations, respective Administrative Ministries, and Concerned R&D Institutions/Organisations are requested to furnish their comments on the draft QCOs by 20th February 2023. The comments shall be furnished to the DPIIT on the following email addresses: puneet.mann@nic.in and nl.goswami@nic.in.
