PCI clarifies its Security Deposit and Pharmacy Education Regulatory Charges

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a clarification on its Security Deposit and Pharmacy Education Regulatory Charges (PERC). This clarification was issued on 8th February, 2023.

The PCI has made the following decisions:

  1. security deposit will no longer be charged for academic year 2023-2024 and will be decided subsequently
  2. to revise PERC

Additionally, portal for new institutions will be opened for the following categories:

  • new institutions that were rejected during the 2022-2023 academic session need to fill only SIF without PERC
  • new institutions that are already granted approval for the 2023-2024 academic session need to fill only SIF without PERC
  • new institutions that intend to apply for the first time for 2022-2023 academic session need to fill SIF along with PERC
