E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2023
Every producer shall provide the detailed information on the constituents of the equipment and their components or consumables or parts or spares along with a declaration of conformance to the reduction of hazardous substances provisions as and when required by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Additionally, the amendment also adds two substances to the exemptions listed in Schedule II of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
Ministry of Finance notifies Reporting Entities for Aadhar Authentication
The Government has notified 39 entities as reporting entities that are granted permission to perform Aadhar Authentication. This list was compiled upon consultation with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
MNRE extends Quality Control Order, 2017 for SPV Inverters
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has issued a notification extending the Quality Control Order (QCO), 2017 for SPV inverters. The ministry has provided this extension on account of the limited availability of test facilities and in order to provide additional time for compliance with the QCO. Thus the implementation of Quality Control Order, 2017 for SPV inverters (items 4-5) stands extended from 31st December, 2022 till 30th June, 2023.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Financial) Regulations, 2023
The regulations provide that the the Food Authority shall maintain the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Fund to further the objectives of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Additionally, there will also be a Finance Committee which will meet at least twice in a year or more frequently as may be required.
Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Amendment Rules, 2023
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has notified the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Amendment Rules, 2023. These Rules seek to further to amend the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014. The Rules revise certain forms and provide for signing of e-forms by certain entities. These Amendment Rules have come into effect from 23rd January, 2023.
Clarification regarding Admissibility of CFA for residential sector rooftop solar projects installed under Rooftop Solar Programme Phase-II
National Portal (https://solarrooftop.gov.in/ )for Rooftop Solar was launched on 30.7.2022. On the National Portal any residential consumer from any part of country can apply for installation of RTS and get CFA directly in his/her bank account. All the steps starting from application to release of CFA can be monitored by consumer online on the Portal.
