The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on January 24, 2023, issued a circular regarding the filing of contributions in respect of employees on ESI leave. It is stated that the audit party regularly observes that contribution is being filed by the employers in respect of the period, during which the employees are on ESI leave.
Therefore, it is requested to be careful while filing contributions and to not file contributions for those days, during which period your employees are on ESI leave.
