‘SMART’ Programme Launched for Ayurveda Professionals to boost R&D in Ayurveda
The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) have launched ‘SMART’ (Scope for Mainstreaming Ayurveda Research in Teaching Professionals) program aimed to boost scientific research in priority healthcare research areas through Ayurveda colleges and hospitals. The program was launched on 2nd January, 2023 by the Chairman of NCISM and the Director General of CCRAS in the presence of the President of Board of Ayurveda, NCISM and other senior officials.
NMC seeks comments of the stakeholders on the proposed draft regulations related to National Exit Test (NExT)
The Notional Medical Commission NMC has issued a draft regulation related to National Exit Test (NExT) for medical graduates. It has notified this draft by virtue of a public notice dated 28th December, 2022. A draft regulation in this regard has now been shared for public comments.
BSE issues a clarification on SEBI circular on Enhanced Guidelines for Debenture Trustees and Listed Issuer Companies on Security Creation and Initial Due Diligence
SEBI has now clarified on whether a new ISIN is to be allocated in case of change in underlying security, creation of additional security, or creation of security in case of unsecured debt securities. It is clarified that these cases would not constitute a change in the structure of the non-convertible debt securities.
DCI directs college authorities of all dental colleges to upload the details of students for Academic Session 2022-23
The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a letter on the requirement of uploading the details of students admitted in BDS Course at Dental Colleges for the academic session 2022-23 on the DCI Website. The details must be mandatorily uploaded on or before the last date of joining i.e.14th January, 2023 (12:00 midnight).

Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, Mumbai has issued a public notice reiterating that only authorized Patent Agents are entitled to represent their clients in respective matters before the Controller of Patents. It is also clarified that an Advocate, not being a patent agent, can take part in any hearing/ proceeding before the Controller. However, the Advocate must be duly authorized by the applicant or the party concerned by filing Form 26 in his favour.
