NMC issues notification on Implementation of District Residency Programme
Post Graduate Medical Education Regulation 2000 (PGMER- 2000) provides for three months’ District Residency Programme (DRP). According to the PGMER-2000, DRP is mandatory in district hospitals for 3 months. The rotation shall be done by 3rd or 4th or 5th semester students of the postgraduate programme.
Pharmacy Council issues a Circular on compliance of conditions for pharmacist registration
The Pharmacy Council of India has issued a circular that seeks to further the interests of the pharmacists in India by facilitating them to work across the country. It has been decided that State Pharmacy Councils shall expediate registration cases involving transfer of registration of pharmacists.
The MoRT&H issues Office Memorandum on SOP for Validation of National Highways Network and other logistics and allied projects on PM GatiShakti Portal
MoRT&H has planned to update and validate the entire National Highways (NHs) Network on the Portal. This must be completed by the 31st January, 2023. Hence the field officers of Roads Wing, NHAI, NHIDCL and BRO shall urgently validate the network available on the portal based on actual/ GIS-based surveys in terms of KMZ/ KML files.
CBDT notifies Partial Relaxation of Electronic Submission of Form 10F by certain Taxpayers
According to the present notification, there will be an exemption on the mandatory filing of Form 10F till 31st March, 2023. This benefit will be available to non-resident (NR) taxpayers who are not required to and do not have PAN (Permanent Account Number).
UGC publicises its Programme on Academic Bank of Credits
ABC will function as a national- level facility that will be a bank for academic purposes. The students will be the academic account holders. ABC will provides services such as credit verification, credit accumulation, credit redemption and authenthication of academic awards. This will enable all students to open an academic bank account with ABC to commute credits for awarding any degree or diploma or certificate.
General framework for imposing environmental damage compensation
The principle of strict liability shall be exercised on the polluter while implementing environmental damage compensation. Strict liability is the imposition of liability on the polluter without finding a fault such as exceedance of standards, negligence, or ill intention.
NPCI issues a Notification regarding Mandating IIN Validation and Check Transaction Status API for Banks and Plazas
Plazas shall fetch a list of active participants from NPCI via Banks on a daily basis using the ‘List Participant’ API and enable IIN Validation for all tags being scanned. This will put a check on Fraudulent IIN Tag Transactions and speed up the update of new participant member details in the ecosystem.
Biological Research Regulatory Approval Portal (BioRRAP) initiated for approval of researches
The information on international research projects as approved by all line Ministries/ Departments of GOI is expected to be integrated with BioRRAP (with unique BioRRAP ID for each proposal). Further details in this regard can be accessed at https : //biorrap.gov.in.
Clarification regarding Registration of Ethics Committees for Biomedical and Health Research
The studies/research proposals involving human participants, their biological material and data that are not reviewed by ethics committees fulfilling the above requirements should not be considered or approved by any agencies for funding purposes.
Exemption from mandatory electronic filing of Form lOF for tax payers without PAN card
For the sake of clarity, it is reiterated that such category of taxpayers may make statutory compliance of filing Form 10F till 31’t March 2023 in manual form.
