The Government of West Bengal on November 11, 2022, has notified amendments in the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, and West Bengal Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011. All licenses issued to manufacturers, repairers, and dealers of weights and measures shall be auto-renewed upon uploading of required documents by the license holder and after payment of requisite fees required for renewal.
