Department of revenue exempts certain rice products from customs duty for export

The Department of Revenue vide notification dated 31st October, 2022 has exempted following goods from customs duty when exported out of India:

  1. Rice in the husk (paddy or rough
  2. Husked (brown) rice
  3. Semi-milled or wholly-milled rice, whether or not polished or glazed (other than Parboiled rice and Basmati
    rice)
  4. Organic Non-Basmati Rice.

This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of November, 2022.
