The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide circular dated 21st October, 2022 has exempted alcoholic beverages imported to India from complying with upper alcohol limit if such beverages are solely used for manufacture of beverages in India.
Only safety parameters and labeling requirements shall apply to the imported consignments.
