Government of Kerala invites comments/suggestions from public on the Draft export policy.
Through this policy, a dedicated Institute may be created to carry out trainings and other Capacity Building regarding exports and export promotion in the state. Skill development programme shall be conducted existing exporters, entrepreneurs and artisans in improving their product and in product diversification. Trade Awareness Programmes and Trade Development Programmes may be conducted in periodic intervals of existing exporters and non-exporters in the nuances of exporting and overseas markets.
The Energy Conservation (Energy Consumption Norms and Standards for Designated Consumers, Form, Time within which, and Manner of Preparation and Implementation of Scheme, Procedure for Issue or purchase of Energy Savings Certificate and Value of Per Metric Ton of Oil Equivalent of Energy Consumed) Amendment Rules, 2022.
Through this amendment, the definition for the term “floor price “has been inserted which means the minimum price at which the Energy Savings Certificate shall be traded in power exchanges.
Ministry of Consumer Affairs directs advertising agencies to ensure strict compliance of guidelines on surrogate advertisements.
The guidelines clearly state that no surrogate advertisement or indirect advertisement shall be made for goods or services whose advertising is otherwise prohibited or restricted by law, by circumventing such prohibition or restriction and portraying it to be an advertisement for other goods or services, the advertising of which is not prohibited or restricted by law.
Services of the industry engaged in Food Stuffs declared to be a public utility service.
The Ministry has lastly declared the said industry to be public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from the 28th February, 2022. However, due to the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the public utility service status to the said industry, it is extended for a further period of six months.
The Labour Ministry extends the public utility service status on iron and steel industry for another 6 months.
The Ministry has lastly declared the said industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from 17th February 2022 and of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the public utility service status, the ministry has further extended for another period of 6 months starting from 17th August 2022.
