IRDAI publishes Draft Master Guidelines on Anti Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
The Draft guidelines shall be applicable for all class of Life, General or Health Insurance business carried out by the ‘Insurers’ except Re-insurance business carried out by the ‘Indian Insurance company’ or ‘foreign company’ in India.
New Guidelines for Central Sector Scheme “Promotion of MSMEs in North Eastern Region and Sikkim” for enhancing productivity and competitiveness.
The Scheme envisages financial assistance to State Governments for setting up new and modernization of existing Mini Technology Centres. Projects for creation of common facilities to supplement manufacturing, testing, packaging, R&D, product and process innovations and training for natural resources such as fruits, spices, agriculture, forestry, sericulture and bamboo etc. available in NER and Sikkim would be given priority.
IRDAI issues guidelines on use and file procedure for all categories of products under health and general insurance business.
Insurers shall file the proposed name of the product, date of approval by Product Management Committee and shall obtain the UIN. Thereafter, Insurers shall file the product along with all other documents specified in Consolidated Guidelines on Product Filing in Health Insurance Business dated 22 July, 2020 with the Authority within 7 days of launch of the product.
The Environment (Protection) Draft Amendment Rules, 2022.
The Amendment is brought under schedule 1 which deals with the standards for emission or discharge of environmental pollutants in which the standards for Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPU) units has been notified.
ESIC Act extended to Andaman and Nicobar lslands
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has extended the applicability of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 to establishments located in Areas of the Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar lslands, wherein ten or more persons are employed, or were employed, on any day of the preceding twelve months.
Companies (Accounts) Third Amendment Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that for the financial year 2021-2022, Form CSR-2 shall be filed separately on or before 31st March, 2023 after filing Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS), as the case may be.
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Act, 2021 comes into force
The Act provides for a Council to coordinate the activities among the institutes under the Bill to ensure development of pharmaceutical education and research and maintenance of standards.
