Revised customs duty for coal

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide notification dated 21st May, 2022, has revised the prior notification fixing the threshold of customs duty on import of goods. The central government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, as a relaxation, has fixed the duty of customs leviable upon import of following materials:

  1. Naphtha: 1%
  2. Methyloxirane (propylene oxide): 2.5%

This notification shall come into effect on the 22nd day of May, 2022.
