The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India on 11th May 2022, has directed the insurers to file the returns, reports or other documents related to actuarial valuation or reinsurance in either PDF format or in Excel sheet. The PDF copies of all such documents shall be digitally signed by the required signatories. Each page need not be initialled or digitally signed.
In order to reduce filing hardcopies of various actuarial returns, IRDAI has directed the insurers to file them in a digital format. The PDF and Excel copies of the documents shall be sent to the following email IDs:
- firstname.lastname@example.org (for life insurers)
- email@example.com (for all other insurers)
