Government of Goa extends the last date for claiming ex-gratia compensation till 23rd May 2022.

The Revenue Department of Goa on 27th April 2022, has extended the last date for claiming Ex-gratia Compensation of Rs. 50,000/- for next kin of deceased due to Covid till May 23, 2022. The claimant can file the claim for Ex-gratia Compensation till May 23, 2022 in case of death occurred due to Covid-19 prior to March 20, 2022.

For further deaths, 90 days’ time is provided from the date of death due to Covid-19 to file the claim for compensation. In case of extreme hardship any claimant who could not make an application within the time prescribed the claimant may approach Grievance Redressal Committee and make the claim through Grievance Redressal Committee, in the office of Collector North and South.

The Applications are available in the office of District Collectors and the office of Taluka Mamlatdars. Application can also be submitted through Goa Online Portal (http:// goaonline.gov.in).
