FSSAI issues clarification regarding the use of blend oil intended for use in premixes/admixtures intended to be sold as intermediary ingredient.

Sub-regulation 2.2.1(24) FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 specifies the standards for Multi Source Edible Oil wherein it is stated that Multi-Source Edible Oils’ means an admixture of any two edible vegetable oils where the proportion by weight of any edible vegetable oil used in the admixture shall be less than 20 per cent. The individual oils in the blend shall conform to the respective standards prescribed by these regulations.

FSSAI introduces License/Registration or Application number-based user IDs on FoSCoS.

Capturing of primary and secondary contact detail will help in sending the notification and password reset OTPs to both the contacts i.e. to food business and to person who has provided any assistance in filing the application. This will also ease the resetting of passwords for user-IDs. FBOs can reset password by entering application/license/registration number. A password reset OTP would be sent to both primary and secondary phone number/email IDs.

Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers notifies the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the Pharmaceutical Sector.

The scheme will provide financial incentives on the incremental sales (over Base Year) of pharmaceutical goods and in-vitro diagnostic medical devices to selected applicants based on pre-defined selection criteria. The incentives will be paid for a maximum period of 6 years for each participant depending upon the threshold investments and sales criteria to be achieved by the applicant.
