The Electricity (Timely Recovery of Costs due to Change in Law) Rules, 2021.
The ministry informed that timely recovery of the costs with the change in law assumes significance as the investment in the power sector depends on a great extent upon timely payments.
SEBI amends norms for determination of legitimate claims.
The Stock Exchanges shall ensure that once a member has been declared defaulter, the claim (s) shall be placed before the Member Core Settlement Guarantee Fund Committee (MCSGFC, the erstwhile Defaulters’ Committee) for sanction and ratification. MCSGFC’s advice w.r.t. legitimate claims shall be sent to the IPF Trust for disbursement of the amount immediately.
The Labour Ministry extends the public utility service status on iron ore mining industry for another 6 months.
The public utility status on industries engaged in services in iron ore mining, which is covered under items 16 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 has been extended for a period of six months with effect from 14th October 2021.
The Labour Ministry extends the public utility service status on banking industry for another 6 months.
Due to the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the public utility service status to the Banking industry, it is extended for a further period of six months with effect from 21st October 2021.
The Electricity (Promotion of Generation of Electricity from Must-Run Power Plant) Rules, 2021.
A wind, solar, wind-solar hybrid or hydropower plant (in case of excess water leading to spillage) or a power plant from any other sources, as may be notified by the Appropriate Government, which has entered into an agreement to sell the electricity to any person, shall be treated as a must-run power plant.
National Medical commission issues advisory regarding antimicrobial resistance and misuse of antimicrobial
The advisory directs them to review and develop curriculum and resources for in-service training for healthcare professionals and practical education of nursing and medical students on AMR, judicious use of antimicrobial, antimicrobial stewardship and infections prevention & control.
Co-operative Societies Deposit Protection Scheme
The amendment provides that every co-operative credit society and other co-operative societies having credit business, shall register themselves under such Deposit Protection Scheme and pay
such contributions, so as to secure deposits of its depositors and members and take such other measures, as specified in the Scheme.
