MCA extends the time for holding AGM for Financial Year ended on 31st March 2021.
Based on the representation received from the companies, seeking extension of time for holding Annual General Meeting, MCA has granted extension of time for a period of two months, which means the companies now have time till the end of November 2021 to hold the AGM.
Food Safety and Standards (Approval for Non-Specified Food and Food Ingredients) Amendment Regulations, 2021.
The manufacturer or importer of non-specified food shall submit an application in FORM – I along with necessary documents and fee to the Food Authority and the Food Authority shall scrutinize the application and information provided by the applicant.

At present, fire detection, alarm and suppression systems are notified for fires originating from the engine compartment only.
The Electronic Duty Credit Ledger Regulations, 2021.
The duty credit available in the e-scrip in the ledger shall be used for payment of duties of Customs specified in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 and the e-scrip shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of its creation in the ledger and any duty credit in the said e-scrip remaining unutilized at the end of this period shall lapse.
Ministry of Heavy Industry publishes the guidelines on Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Automobile and Auto components.
The window for receiving applications through the Notice Inviting Applications will be for a period of 60 days. The applicant companies are required to submit an application along with financial & supporting documents.
The Food Safety and Standards (Fortification of Foods) Second Amendment Regulations, 2021
The amendment provides that Any manufacturer who fortifies any food shall ensure that the level of added micronutrients on label of such fortified food shall fall within the range specified. The tolerance of minus 10 per cent of the declared total value on the label may be allowed for the purposes of compliance and analysis at any point in time. Provided that the maximum limit of added micronutrients must be complied with.
Revised timeline for filing online application under SEIS in the FTP 2015-20
For SEIS claim for FY 2019-20, the deadline for filing the online application as per ANF 3B shall be 31.12.2021. Provision of late cut shall not apply for SEIS applications for FY 2019-20 and applications filed after due date 31.12.2021 shall get time-barred.
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Custodian of Securities) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021
The amendment provides that when the sponsor of a Pension Fund, Trustee Bank or central record keeping agency or their associates, are holding 50 percent or more of the voting rights of the share capital of a custodian in the same group, it can apply to become Custodian with the Authority.
Clarification regarding issue of duty credit for goods exported under the Scheme for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products
Duty credit shall be issued by Customs in excess of the ineligible amount of duty credit pertaining to the unrealized portion of sale proceeds against export of goods made earlier. If the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs has reason to believe, on the basis of risk evaluation or on the basis of enquiry, that the claim of duty credit made by an exporter on export goods may not be bona fide, he may direct, for reasons to be recorded in writing, to allow duty credit after realization of sale proceeds of such exports.
The Food Safety and Standards (Foods for Infant Nutrition) Amendment Regulations, 2021
Where an infant formula in powder format is manufactured without use of any vegetable oil, linoleate, vitamin E, starch, specified food additive and optional ingredients, the product may be named as ‘Infant Milk Food. Objections or suggestions to this amendment may be sent by e-mail within 60 days from date of publication.
