The due date for completion of penalty proceedings under the Act has also been extended from 30th September, 2021 to 31st March 2022.

IRDAI extends the timeline for issuance of electronic life insurance policies till 31st March 2021.
Earlier the exemption for wet signature on the hard copy of an insurance policy was valid till 31st March 2021 however due to the second wave of the pandemic, IRDAI extended the timeline till 30th September 2021 which is now further extended till 31st March 2022.
Ministry of Finance relaxes TDS provisions U/S 194A of Income Tax Act.
Since the interest income of a member of Scheduled Tribe is exempt u/s 10(26) of the Act, the Finance Ministry has now notified that if payment of interest is made by a scheduled bank located in the specified area to a member of the Scheduled Tribe as referred to in section 10(26) shall not be subject to TDS under section 194A.
