IRDAI extends the exemptions granted for issuance of electronic policies till 31st March 2022.

Income-tax (29th Amendment) Rules, 2021.
As per the new rule 12F, the prescribed income-tax authority under second proviso to clause (i) of sub-section (1) of section 142 shall be an income-tax authority not below the rank of Income-tax Officer who has been authorised by the Central Board of Direct Taxes to act as such authority for the purposes of that clause.”
MoHFW notifies Drugs (Draft Amendment) Rules, 2021.
Through this amendment, a new class of drug has been notified under schedule K which shall be exempted from the provisions of Chapter IV of the Act and the Rules thereunder, which require them to be covered with a sale license in Form 20 or Form 20A.
CBIC notifies measures for easing availability of containers for exporters.
The field officers shall take proactive steps so that the containers housing import cargo that is under enquiry are expeditiously released. For this, provision already exists that whenever it becomes necessary to detain the imported cargo, pending completion of enquiry/investigation, such cargo should be removed to a customs warehouse in terms of the provisions of Section 49 of the Customs Act, 1962.
Government of Jharkand proposes Medical Protection Act
The Jharkhand Health Minister has declared that the Clinical Establishment (CE) Act and PCPNDT Act will be strictly implemented in Jharkhand. It is also declared that giving security to doctors is the priority of the government and the Medical Protection Act will be passed in the next Assembly session.
Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics for the Directors and KMP of recognized Market Infrastructure Institutions in GIFT-IFSC
The code provides that its objective is to enhance the level of market integrity and investor confidence. It is emphasized that a written code of ethics may not completely guarantee adherence to high ethical standards. This can be accomplished only if Directors and Key Management Personnel of the recognized MIIs commit themselves to the task of enhancing the fairness and integrity of the system in letter and spirit.
DGFT clarifies due date for import of Soya De-oiled and crushed cakes
It is hereby clarified that import consignments of Soya De-oiled and crushed cakes with bill of lading/lorry receipts issued on or before 31st October 2021 shall not be allowed by customs beyond 31st January, 2022.
