Securities and Exchange Board of India (Alternative Investment Funds) (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2021

The amendment clarifies that Un-invested portion of the investable funds and divestment proceeds pending distribution to investors may be invested in liquid mutual funds or bank deposits or other liquid assets of higher quality such as Treasury bills, Triparty Repo Dealing and Settlement, Commercial Papers, Certificates of Deposits, etc. till the deployment of funds as per the investment objective or the distribution of the funds to investors as per the terms of the fund documents.

Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021

In respect of income accruing from the transfer of an asset or a capital asset situated in India in consequence of the transfer of a share or interest in a company or entity registered or incorporated outside India, made before the and the person in whose case such assessment or reassessment or order has been passed or made before 28.05.2012 such assessment or reassessment or order, to the extent it relates to the said income, shall be deemed never to have been passed or made.

Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Act, 2021

The Central Government is empowered by the amendment, for the purpose of providing speedy trial of offenses under this Act, by notification, establish or designate as many Special Courts as may be necessary for such area or areas, as may be specified in the notification.

Delhi Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act, 2021

It is also clarified that commissioner or an officer authorized by him may, by an order, direct any person to furnish information relating to any matter dealt with in connection with this Act, within such time, in such form, and in such manner, as may be specified therein.
