MCA extends the timeline for filing forms by Companies and LLPs
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the timeline for filing of all forms (except Form CHG-1, CHG-4 & CHG-9) under Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008 till 31st August, 2021.
FSSAI extends implementation of new regulations for labeling Oil
The Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restriction on Sales) Amendment Regulations, 2021, Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2021 and Food Safety and Standards(labeling and display) Amendment Regulations, 2021 shall commence with effect from 17.11.2021.
Government of Tripura issues revised minimum wages
The Government of Tripura has revised minimum wages to be paid to skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled laborers. The overtime rate shall be double of the ordinary rate of minimum wages.
Scope of existing Saral Sanchar Portal of DoT expanded for receipt, processing and grant of licenses for spectrum to conduct experiment, demonstration, testing & manufacturing
In an important initiative to encourage spectrum based applications and for experiment, demonstration and testing requirements, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing (WPC) launches the initiative to facilitate online licensing for use of Spectrum to conduct Experiments, Demonstrations, etc. The scope of existing Saral Sanchar Portal of DoT, on which application for Access Services, Internet Services and other licenses are being received, was expanded for receipt, processing and grant of licenses for spectrum to conduct experiment, demonstration, testing, manufacturing, etc.
SEBI decides to introduce a framework for ‘Accredited Investors’ in the Indian securities market.
The Eligibility criteria for Accredited Investors who may be Individuals, HUFs, Family Trusts, Sole Proprietorships, Partnership Firms, Trusts and Body Corporates based on financial parameters and information as may be specified by SEBI.
SEBI introduces cross-margin facility on commodity futures.
To be eligible for the cross margin benefit, contracts belonging to Index futures and underlying constituents or its variants shall belong to the same expiry month or to the nearest expiry month and should be from amongst the first three expiring contracts only.
Amendments to life insurance Corporation under Part III of Finance Act shall come into force from 30th June 2021.
A key amendment is also regarding the utilization of surplus from the life insurance business under which it pays 5 percent of the surplus to the government.
