MoEF & CC provides timeline for project proponents to reply to the Essential Details Sought by the Impact Assessment Division
Considering that many project proponents do not reply/delay the reply to the Essential Details Sought (EDS) by the Impact Assessment Division, it has now been decided that in case the reply to EDS is not received on PARIVESH within 30 days, the proposal will be excluded from the pendency list shown on PARIVESH.

The circular advices authorities not to withhold applications for renewal of FSSAI licenses upon non-confirmation of receipt of annual return in Form D-1 & D-2 against the particular license.
Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2021
The amendment provides that in case the vehicle is registered on submission of certificate of vehicle scrapping, the fee for issue of certificate of registration shall not be levied. The amendment also provides the new fee structure for registration.
The central government is empowered to direct manufacturers to recall motor vehicles with defects
Where there is a defect in the motor vehicle component, the Central Government may, by order, direct a manufacturer to recall all motor vehicles which contain such component, regardless of the type or variants of such motor vehicle

The proposed Bill seeks the safety and well-being of women and will enlarge the ambit and access of women to safe and legal abortion without compromising on safety and quality of care. The proposal will also ensure dignity, autonomy, confidentiality and justice for women who need to terminate pregnancy.
SEBI issues circular for streamlining the IPO process via UPI.
In order to ensure timely response with regard to IPO process, SCSBs shall identify the nodal officer for IPO applications processed through UPI as a payment mechanism and submit the details to SEBI within 7 working days from the issuance of this circular.
Government of Kerala to refund the consent fee for industrial units.
For integrated consent to establish applications, one year fee may be retained, and the rest can be refunded and for the renewal of integrated consent to establish, one year fee may be retained, and rest can be refunded.

The Income-tax (5th Amendment) Rules, 2021.

The Paradip Port Trust (Licensing of Stevedoring and Shore Handling) Regulations, 2021.
The regulation shall be applicable to stevedoring activities on board and shore handling activities onshore undertaken by the agent, but shall not apply to such activities undertaken either by the Board or by any person with whom Public Private Partnership agreement or Build-Operate–Transfer agreement or such other agreement has been entered into by the Board.
