Special courts for trial of offences under the Companies Act, 2013, in respect of cases filed by Securities Exchange Board of India
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide notification dated 27.11.2020 has designated four special courts for the purpose of ensuring speedy disposal of trials of offences punishable under the Companies Act, 2013, in respect of cases filed by the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Procedure for implementation of “Quarterly Return Monthly Payment Scheme”
The Scheme allows registered persons with Aggregate turn over up to five crore rupees to furnish quarterly return along with monthly payment of tax. The Circular lays down eligibility, procedure and applicability of the scheme.

The validity for applying for the scheme is one month from the date of notification and the consumer can avail any one of the options of repayment under the scheme to rectify the default.
MCA further extends the due date for filing Form CRA – 4
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has further extended the due date for filing Cost Audit Report in Form CRA – 4 till 31.12.2020.
SEBI further extends the relaxation in timelines for compliance with regulatory requirements.
For the compliance requirements for KYC (know your customer) application form and supporting documents of the clients, the Sebi said period of exclusion will be from 23rd March, 2020 till 31st December, 2020.
The Ministry of Labour and employment has declared the services of the industries engaged in defence establishment to be a public utility service.
The Central Government has lastly declared the said industries to be public utility services for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months from 24th June 2020. However, the Ministry has now further extended the period for another six months with effect from 24th December 2020, in the public interest.

An application for the renewal of a registration certificate granted under this Act shall be made at least 30 days before the expiry of the period thereof and on payment of such fees, as may be prescribed through Labour Commissionerate Automation System, the registration certificate shall be renewed automatically”.
The Labour Ministry extends the public utility service status on uranium industry for another 6 months.
The Ministry had earlier granted an extension to the uranium industry for a period of six months, starting from 19th June 2020. This has now been extended for another six months with effect from 19th December 2020.
