SEBI to rationalize eligibility criteria and disclosure requirements for Rights Issues

The SEBI has decided to amend SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018 to rationalize eligibility criteria and disclosure requirements for Rights Issues. The amendments will be effective from the date it is notified in the Gazette. The amendment is proposed with an objective to make the fund raising through this route, easier, faster and cost effective.

Domestic Systemically Important Insurers (D-SIIs)

Domestic Systemically Important Insurers (D-SIIs) refer to insurers of such size, market importance and domestic and global inter connectedness whose distress or failure would cause a significant dislocation in the domestic financial system. These insurers have been asked to raise the level of corporate governance and to identify all relevant risk and promote a sound risk management culture.

Parliament passes three labour law bills.

The Code on Industrial Relations, the Social Security Code and the Code on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Condition which shall bring all workers under some form of social security, provide much-needed flexibility to the employers to hire and downsize the workforce.
