The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Bill, 2020
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 was promulgated by the President on the 5th day of June, 2020 to temporarily suspend initiation of corporate insolvency resolution process
under the Code, initially for such period not exceeding one
year from 25th March, 2020, to provide relief to companies affected by COVID-19 to recover
from the financial stress without facing immediate threat of being pushed to insolvency
proceedings. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Bill, 2020 which seeks to replace the Ordinance is introduced before Rajya Sabha.
SEBI issues clarification on collection and reporting of margins by trading member in cash segment.
The TMs/CMs will have time till ‘T+2’ working days to collect margins (except VaR margins and ELM) from their clients and if the trading members collects minimum 20% upfront margin in lieu of VaR and ELM from the client, then penalty for short-collection/non-collection of margin shall not be applicable.
RBI Publishes Draft Rupee Interest Rate Derivatives (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2020.
These Directions shall apply to all Rupee IRD transactions entered into from the date the Directions come into effect. Existing Directions will continue to be applicable to Rupee IRD transactions undertaken in accordance with the said Directions till the expiry of those contracts.
NPPA extends the ceiling price of orthopedic knee implants till 15th September 2021.
NPPA had imposed price ceiling on knee replacement systems and categorized knee implants into two major categories – Primary Knee Replacement Systems and Revision Knee Replacement Systems.
