CBIC extends the last date for re-import of diamonds sent abroad for certification and grading, by three months
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs on 10th July 2020 has extended relief to gems and jewellery sector by extending the timeline for requirement of re-import of cut and polished diamonds, which have been sent abroad for certification and grading, by three months.
CBDT extends ITR processing time limit for refunds
The CBDT has extended the time limit for processing of Income Tax Returns ( ITRs ) filed with refund claims up to Assessment year 2017-18 till 31st October 2020.
CBDT provides utility to ascertain TDS Applicability Rates on Cash Withdrawals
The bank or post office will now only have to enter the PAN of the person who is withdrawing cash for ascertaining the applicable rate of TDS. On entering PAN, a message will be instantly displayed on the departmental utility. This functionality is available as ”Verification of applicability u/s 194N” on www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in from 1st July 2020.
Government of Karnataka permits private medical establishments to run COVID care centres
The Government of Karnataka has allowed private medical establishments registered under Karnataka private medical establishments act to establish and manage Coronavirus (COVID-19) care centres in collaboration with hotel facilities. Guidelines for the same is issued.
