DGFT revises the export policy of Diagnostic Kits/Laboratory Reagents/Diagnostic Apparatus
The Director-General of Foreign Trade vide its notification dated 10th June 2020 has restricted the Export of diagnostic kits, laboratory reagents & diagnostic apparatus falling under schedule 2 of ITCHS export policy, as described in para 1(A) and all diagnostic instruments/apparatus/reagents as described in para 1 (B) of the notification.
NPPA has fixed retail prices for 3 formulations under Drugs (price control) order 2013
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority in its gazette notification dated 9th June 2020 has fixed retail prices of 3 formulations under Drugs Prices Control Order 2013. The new class of drugs includes Vildagliptin + Metformin Tablet, Escitalopram + Clonazepam Tablet etc.
Government of Telangana extends the lockdown provision including paid holidays to employees till 30th June
Lockdown period upto 30th June 2020 and shall be declared as paid holidays for all categories of employees in Telangana. the business hours for the shops and establishments are restricted upto 8.30 PM in public interest. However, the clause of working hours shall not be applicable to Hospitals, pharmacies, optical stores, diagnostic centres, pharmaceuticals etc.
IRDAI modifies Guidelines on Product filing in Health Insurance Business
The provisions of these guidelines shall be applicable to the Health Insurance products filed as per Guidelines on Product Filing in Health Insurance Business on or after 01st October, 2020.
IRDAI issues guidelines on standardization of general clauses in Health Insurance Policy contracts
IRDAI has issued guidelines on standardization of general clauses in health insurance policy contracts under the IRDAI (Health Insurance) Regulations, 2016. These Guidelines are applicable to all General and Health Insurers offering indemnity based Health Insurance (excluding PA and Domestic / Overseas Travel) products (both Individual and Group).
IRDAI directs insurers to include telemedicine as part of the claim settlement of policy
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India in its notification dated 11th June 2020 has advised insurers to allow telemedicine wherever consultation with a medical practitioner is allowed in the terms and conditions of policy contract.
