Ministry of Home Affairs extends the nationwide lockdown till 31st May 2020
The Ministry of Home Affairs on 17th May 2020 has extended the ongoing nationwide lockdown till 31st May with new guidelines that authorize the State and Union Territory governments to have the power of delineation of red, orange, and green zones while keeping in mind the parameters shared by Union Health Ministry.

Government of Punjab Revises Lockdown Timings, Shops Allowed To Remain Open between 7 Am To 6 Pm

DGFT Permits the export of non-medical, non-surgical masks
The Directorate General of foreign trade vide its notification dated 16th May 2020 has permitted the export of non-medical and non-surgical masks of all types, including cotton, silk, wool and knitted.
No penalty for delay in paying Provident Fund contributions
The Employees Provident Fund Organisation on 15th May 2020 has decided to provide relief to establishments covered under EPF and MP Act, 1952 from levy of penalty for delayed deposit of dues during the lockdown.

The State Government of Tamil Nadu in its press release dated 17th May 2020 has extended the lockdown till 31st May with certain relaxations in the prevailing restrictions, applicable only for 25 districts of the state.
Online training on DIKSHA platform about Covid 19 pandemic
The Central government has launched an integrated government online training program on DIKSHA platform about Covid 19 pandemic. The training is provided to the Covid 19 warriors including healthcare workers, Government officials, police, volunteers etc. The government seeks to promote the training program and to encourage as much warriors as possible to undergo such training through the online platform.
Amendment to CGST provision dealing with Transitional credit for un-availed CENVAT
As per the amendment, The un-availed CENVAT can be credited to the electronic credit ledger only if the duties are paid “within such time and in such manner as may be prescribed”.
