Automakers will have to declare emission details and noise standards

The new ROAD-WORTHINESS CERTIFICATE will include the brand, chassis number, engine number (motor number, in case of battery-operated or electric vehicles) and emission norms of the vehicle and will specify the levels of each pollutant like carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, non-methane HC, NOx, HC + NOx, PM etc. for petrol and diesel vehicles. It will also mention the sound level for horn and pass-by noise values.

The Bihar Taxation Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020

The State Government of Bihar vide its notification dated 12th May 2020 has published the Bihar Taxation Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 which amended the rate of tax payable under the Bihar Value Added Tax Act, 2005.

Delhi Government issues sop for hospitals to report COVID-19 deaths

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority in its order dated 10th May 2020 has issued a new Standard Operating Procedure, under which all Covid-19 hospitals and other facilities will e-mail a ‘death report’ to the government by 5 pm every day. The government shall constitute a Death Audit Committee to monitor the mortality.

CBIC extends the relaxation for submission of bond till 15th June 2020 to facilitate trade during the lockdown period

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide its notification dated 11th May 2020 has extended the facility given to businesses to import and export goods without furnishing bonds to the Customs authorities till 15th June 2020. The board has now extended the facility of accepting the undertaking in lieu of bond for the period till May 30, 2020, and as a result, the date of submission of the bond is also temporarily extended till June 15, 2020.
