West Bengal tax Department directs professional tax enrollment holders to clear dues with interest before 25th March 2020
The Government of West Bengal professional Tax department on its website under the News Segment has directed all the profession tax enrollment holders, to clear all dues of Profession Tax from 2016-17 to 2019-20, with interest by 25th March, 2020, in order to avoid being served with a legal notice. The Banking Regulation Amendment Act 2020 empowers RBI to regulate cooperative banks
The Central government on 3rd March 2020 has introduced a Bill in the Parliament to amend the banking regulation law to give more power to Reserve Bank of India to regulate cooperative lenders and prevent frauds such as the one seen at Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) Bank Ltd.
Ministry of health and family welfare proposes to rename blood bank as blood centers
The Ministry of Health and Family welfare has published Drugs and cosmetics (Second Amendment) Rules 2020 to further amend the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945. The amendment prescribes the qualification for staffs conducting blood donation camps and the criteria for blood donation has been substituted.
