Businesses over Rs.50 Crore to have electronic payment mode from November 1: CBTD invites applications from payment systems
CBDT has made it mandatory for all businesses whose turnover is more than Rs 50.crore shall have to make arrangement to accept payment through electronic mode from November 1. The CBTD has invited proposals from payments systems to be prescribed as an eligible electronic payment mode.

Ministry of labour notifies certain industrial establishments as Public Utility Services
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has, extended the status of public utility services to establishments engaged in the industrial establishments manufacturing or producing Nuclear Fuel and components, Heavy Water and Allied Chemicals and Atomic Energy, which are covered under item 28 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a further period of six months.
