Tamil Nadu Motor Transport Workers’ Rules- Draft Amendment
Government of Tamil Nadu has proposed draft amendments in Tamil Nadu Motor Transport Workers’ Rules by a notification published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated June 26, 2019.
Assistant Commissioner of Labour now will exercise powers related to application and grant of certificate in place of Chief Inspector. Form No. II which is certificate of registration will also be amended. Within the period of six weeks, any objection or suggestion may be made to Government of Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu Factories Rules- Draft Amendment
Government of Tamil Nadu has proposed draft amendment in Tamil Nadu Factories Rules in a notification dated June 26, 2019 The amendment seeks to increase the amount of fee for Amendment, Transfer and Loss of licence from Rupees 50 to Rupees 200. Within forty-five days, any objection or suggestion may be made to Government of Tamil Nadu.

Haryana Pollution Control Board Mandates Requirement for Adequate Pollution Control Devices
The Haryana Pollution Control Board has ordered that units which are closed by the Board due to the non-compliance of the prescribed standards for discharge of pollutants and due to the inadequacy of pollution control devices shall not be allowed to operate and also, shall not be given any time for modification or upgradation of devices with the curtailment of production proportionate to the capacity of existing devices
